SUMMARY:AGC Building Information Modeling Education Program (BIM)
DESCRIPTION:AGC Edge Building Information Modeling (BIM) Education Program is designed to educate construction professionals at all experience levels in BIM concepts and processes. The highly interactive virtual program provides instruction via Zoom and training to prepare construction industry professionals at all levels to take advantage of the benefits of BIM.\n\n\n\nAfter participants complete all four courses in the program\, they become eligible to sit for an exam to earn the Certificate of Management   Building Information Modeling (CM-BIM)\n\n\n\nThese four courses build on each other to combine the latest information on BIM processes and technologies\, step-by-step procedures for integrating BIM into the project delivery process\, real-life case studies of successful BIM implementation\, and the practical issues all parties need to understand when using BIM on a construction project.\n\n\n\nThese classes are offered virtually by AGC of America for Architects\, Engineers\, Contractors\, Suppliers\, Owners\, or others who are interested in earning their CM-BIM credentials. \n\n\n\nSchedule of Classes\n\nUnit 1   An Introduction to Building Information Modeling (3rd Edition)\n\nUnit 2   BIM Technology\n\nUnit 3   BIM Project Execution Planning\n\nUnit 4   BIM Adoption\, Implementation\, and ROI\n\n\n\nCourses will be offered online via the Zoom platform\, a webcam is required for participation. Registration costs include all course participant's materials.\n\n\n\nCancellation Policy: A full refund will be given to cancellations made 14 calendar days prior to the class kick-off. After such time\, no refunds will be given. Email us at education@agc.org\n\n\n\nMeet Your Course Instructor:\n\nDan Russell | CM-BIM\, CM-Lean\, LEED AP\n\nPresident of Practical BIM Solutions\n\n\n\nDan Russell started his career in 1987 using AutoCAD for concrete formwork design. Dan is currently the President of Practical BIM Solutions\, which focuses on providing training and consulting services to contractors to enhance productivity and reduce waste. Prior to this role\, Dan spent three years with Sturgeon Electric as their BIM Manager and had a 23-year career with Sundt Construction. Dan began work with Sundt in 1994 as the formwork engineer for the Arizona Science Center and worked in many roles before being promoted to Director of Construction Technology in 2006. He led Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) efforts from a corporate level in this role. Dan is a recognized national speaker on Building Information (BIM)\, Lean Construction\, and VDC\, speaking at many AGC\, AIA\, FHWA\, and other industry functions and speaking at educational institutions. He is one of the primary authors of the "AGC Contractor's Guide to BIM" and helped develop the AGC BIM Education Program.
