SUMMARY:AGC Edge: Construction Supervision Fundamentals
DESCRIPTION:AGC Edge Construction Supervision Fundamentals (CSF) is highly interactive and allows the building trades and craft workers to experience construction supervision techniques firsthand and create a professional development plan to achieve personal career goals. The highly collaborative virtual program provides instruction via Zoom and training to prepare building trades and craft workers to learn entry-level management skills to lead construction activities.\n\n\n\nThis course is the first step on the path to investing in and retaining your team by developing your own supervisors.\n\n\n\nCancellation Policy: A full refund will be given to cancellations made 14 calendar days before the class kick-off. After such time\, no refunds will be given. Federle | PE\, Ph.D.\, CPC\, F.ASCE\, NAC\, CM-Lean\n\n\n\nMark Federle is currently the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs for the OPUS College of Engineering at Marquette University. He has also served as the McShane Chair of Construction Engineering and Management (Professor-in-Charge of the CEMA program)\, April 2008   Aug 2016\, where he started the first ABET-accredited (as of 2010) Construction Engineering Program. Previously he was Chief Information Officer for The Weitz Company in Des Moines for 9 years. Before joining The Weitz Company\, Federle was the Professor-in-Charge of the Construction Engineering program at Iowa State University\, where he taught for nine years. Dr. Federle has made industry-based presentations on leadership\, project management\, lean\, and ethics for the past three decades. He has spoken extensively at National\, Regional\, and State conventions on various topics. He has published extensively on a variety of topics related to construction engineering. Mark earned his Ph.D. and Master's in Construction Engineering and Management from the University of Michigan. He earned a BS in Civil Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. Mark is a licensed Professional Engineer\, CM-Lean\, and a Certified Professional Constructor. Rose-Hulman awarded Mark the Career Achievement Award in 2005. AGC of America recognized him as Instructor of the Year in 2011. He helped develop content for the Lean Construction Education Program and STP.
