SUMMARY:Building Endurance Series: Managing COVID-19 Risk in the AIA A201 Contract Document
DESCRIPTION:AGC MA BUILDING ENDURANCE SERIES: LEARNING TO NAVIGATE THE COVID-19 CRISIS\n\nAn AGC MA series addressing the immediate challenges that COVID-19 represents to the workforce\, clients and employees. \n\n\n\nPlease join us for our next webinar of the series presented by Ken Rubinstein of Preti Flaherty.\n\n\n\nManaging COVID-19 Risk in the AIA A201 Contract Document \n\nThe standard\, unedited AIA A201-2017 is not built to handle a risk like COVID-19. While most contractors are used to reviewing and revising AIA contracts to address typical risks\, there are additional changes that contractors should consider to minimize COVID-19 related risks in new contracts. This business level presentation provides specific recommended edits and explains the rationale behind these recommended changes. Written materials containing and explaining the suggested edits will be provided.\n\n\n\nKenneth E. Rubinstein practices as a Director in the firm's Boston\, Massachusetts and Concord\, New Hampshire offices and is co-chair of the firm's Construction Law group\, and a member of the firm's Litigation and Professional Liability groups. Ken regularly represents public and private clients\, as well as insurance companies and their insureds\, in complex commercial disputes\, with an emphasis on matters involving construction issues and financial professionals.\n\n\n\nKen has practical industry experience in both the construction and financial services industries\, having worked at a Manhattan construction management firm and at "Big 6" accounting firm\, Arthur Andersen\, LLP\, before beginning his practice as a civil trial lawyer. Prior to joining Preti Flaherty\, Ken was an Officer at a New England regional law firm.
