SUMMARY:Controlled Insurance Programs (CIP’s): the GOOD\, the NOT SO GOOD and the DOWNRIGHT UGLY. What contractors need to understand about the programs and how to protect themselves.
DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a BWiC lunch & learn opportunity featuring Mary Bishop\, Associate Partner\, Construction Risk Partners.\n\n \n\nThere are many positive things about CIP's that help contractors. However\, there is a down side if a contractor is not aware of some of the consequences. This program will help contractors achieve the following objectives:\n\n \n\n	Know the ramifications of including / excluding insurance costs in bids both at the front end and back end of a job.\n	Understand what coverages are being provided and equally what is not being provided.\n	Understand the importance of developing a working relationship with the CIP administrator / broker in order to get access to information.\n	Know the person(s) at the broker and/or sponsor levels that is/are responsible for handling the claim in order to have a voice in the claims process.\n\n \n\nMary leads the Wrap Up Practice group as well as performing as a Managing Account Executive on a number of large contractor accounts. Her role involves providing a sophisticated level of risk management services to the company's largest clients from both traditional insurance placements and Controlled Insurance Program perspectives.\n\n \n\nPrior to joining Construction Risk Partners\, Mary managed numerous insurance programs for various OCIP and CCIP projects during her fifteen-year tenure at a large international brokerage firm. Her experience in insurance spans over three decades with the past two decades committed to the service of the construction industry. Mary attended County of College of Morris and Caldwell University majoring in Business Administration.\n\n\n\nATTENDEES\n\n \n\n	\n \n \n \n	\n	\n \n Carli\n Cabana\n VVA\n \n \n Patrick\n Huntington\n AGC MA\n \n \n Briana\n Colantonio\n Colantonio\, Inc.\n \n \n Jeff\n Soderquist\n Columbia\n \n \n Bill\n Aalerud\n Columbia \n \n \n Sara\n Whitman\n Commodore Builders\n \n \n Dara\n Colleary\n Commodore Builders\n \n \n Sara\n Whitman\n Commodore Builders\n \n \n Jason\n Flood\n Commodore Builders\n \n \n Haille\n Ephrem\n Commodore Builders\n \n \n Casey\n Brigham\n Commodore Builders\n \n \n Stan\n Martin\n Commonsense Construction Law LLC\n \n \n Christy\n Murphy\n Compass Project Management\, Inc.\n \n \n Gregory\n Steele\n Construction Risk Partners\n \n \n Michael\n Regan\n Cross Agency\n \n \n Thomas\n Hunt\n Custom House Risk Advisors\n \n \n Steven\n Avery\n Dimeo Construction Company\n \n \n Sonny\n Powers\n Driscoll Agency\n \n \n Chris\n Sheppard\n Eastern Insurance Construction Division\n \n \n Jacqueline\n Falla\n Elaine Construction\, Inc.\n \n \n Thomas\n Bettle\n G.
