AIA\, CCM\nDirector of Capital Programs and Environmental Affairs at Massachusetts Port Authority\n\n \n\nDr. Luciana Burdi is the Director for Capital Programs and Environmental Affairs for the Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport).\n\n\n\nAs Director\, she is responsible for the development\, administration and execution of the CIP (Capital Investment Program) for all Massport facilities which includes Logan International Airport (BOS)\, Worcester Regional Airport\, Hanscom Fields\, the Conley container terminal\, Flynn Cruiseport terminal\, and other Real Estate properties. She leads the Authority's environmental permitting and management\, safety program\, utilities management and the in-house design and design technologies integration teams.\n\nIn her role\, Burdi is leading the shift of Capital Programs towards a more innovative\, progressive\, Data and Design Technology-driven department. By adopting Lean\, Scrum and Lean Construction principles\, she is also very committed to create a culture of continuous improvement focusing on delivering "best-in-class" infrastructure projects for our customers. Her commitment to sustainability\, diversity and talent development provides a wide spread of opportunities for staff and ultimately improving quality outcomes. Prior to joining Massport\, she held several positions at the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.\n\n\n\nShe received her Doctorate from Harvard Graduate School of Design. Previously\, she was a SPURS Fellow (Special Program in Urban and Regional Studies) at MIT and she holds a Master's Degree from the Istituto Universitario di Architettura di Venezia (IUAV) in Venice Italy.\n\nShe received her CCM in 2019 and her MCPPO in 2020.\n\n \nPeter DeBruin\nDirector of Capital Programs and Environmental Affairs at Massachusetts Port Authority\n\n\n\nPeter DeBruin is the Climate Mitigation & Resiliency Program Manager for the Massachusetts Port Authority where he leads the Environmental Management department.\n\n\n\nHe is responsible for Massport's overall environmental stewardship efforts\, with a focus on climate adaptation strategy and developing programs that reduce the impact of Massport's operations on the environment. He is co-leading the implementation of Massport's Net Zero Roadmap to achieve the Authority-wide goal of decarbonization by 2031. Prior to joining Massport\, Peter was a Vice President and the Global Program Manager for State Street Corporation's Global Office of Environmental Sustainability\, focused on greenhouse gas reduction efforts\, renewable energy and carbon offsetting strategy.\n\n\n\nPeter has a Bachelor's degree in Business from the University of Maine at Orono\, and a Masters in Business Administration from Michigan State University.
