Description: What is an NFPA 241 Plan and Why Do I Need One? Join us at the start of our Construction Fire Safety Morning to get your feet wet with an overview of what compliance with NFPA 241: Standard for Safeguarding Construction, Alteration, and Demolition Operations means. Learn about the function of an NFPA 241 Plan, how it's enforced, and who is involved in the process.
Who Will Benefit: Anyone responsible for building fire safety including: Building owners, contractors, installers, insurance, facility managers, system designers, inspecting authorities.

8:30 - 9:15am Reducing Fire Risk through Collaboration: What you Need to Know - Owners Panel
Building Owners are responsible for the development and implementation of a Construction Fire Safety Program per NFPA 241. The Owner's Construction Fire Safety panel will discuss the Owner's roles, responsibilities, and best practices. The relationship between Ownership, General Contractors, and AHJ's will be highlighted to understand the collaborative approach. An effective Construction Fire Safety Program is only possible with engagement from all parties to create a safe environment for construction workers, occupants and first responders alike.
