All proceeds will go to Building Pathways a non-profit organization based in Boston. Founded by the Greater Boston Building Trades Unions, we are dedicated to the recruitment, retention and advancement of under-represented groups in the union building trades, including women, people of color, and other under-served communities.
Description
This year’s WIC Week opening ceremony, hosted by Shawmut, will explore self-advocacy strategies and their importance in creating pathways to success for women in construction. This event will include introductions from the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) and Boston Women in Construction (BWiC), followed by a fireside chat with Shawmut CEO Les Hiscoe, and Stephanie Akunvabey, VP for Equity and Inclusion and Chief Diversity Officer at Roger Williams University.
