Casual Conversations with Powerful Wo...
Description
BWiC invites you to connect, collaborate, and learn at the upcoming installment of the Casual Conversational with Powerful Women in Construction series. We are honored to feature prominent women leaders in the commercial construction industry as they share their journeys—both intentional and unexpected. Hear about their heroes and hurdles, the opportunities they’ve seized, missed, and reimagined, and the activities that consume far too much of their time. We promise, this conversation will be worth yours!
We are pleased to welcome
Cameron Borgasano, Director of Undergraduate House Renewal Program, Harvard University.
Cameron Borgasano is the Director of the Undergraduate House Renewal Program at Harvard University. In the 1920s, Harvard College created a unique system of residential education for undergraduates centered on 12 Houses, home today to 98 percent of the College’s student population. Each House is presided over by a Harvard faculty member and by a staff of scholars and graduate students, all of whom live and work alongside the undergraduates.Harvard’s House system is one of the most important features of the undergraduate experience. Since 2012, Harvard has undertaken a major renewal of its Houses. The renovations consist of the full replacement of mechanical, electrical, fire protection and plumbing systems, upgrades to the building envelope including insulation, new doors, and windows, interior reconfiguration to address accessibility, code and privacy issues and to provide updated social and academic spaces.
Cameron has been with Harvard for 16 years and been involved with the House Renewal Program beginning with the very first project. The program is far along, with the 6th House (out of 12) now in renewal. House Renewal building square footages range from 60,000 sf to 222,000 sf.
Prior to joining Harvard, Cameron worked at Skanska as part of the project teams that delivered Gillette Stadium, the Delta Terminal “A” Redevelopment Project, and the T.F. Green Terminal Improvements Project.
Cameron was recognized as a 2012 Harvard Hero and a part of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce Boston’s Future Leaders Class of 2018.s the Executive Vice President at Redgate, a real estate development and
