Description
Behind the Scenes at Boston Sand & Gravel: Industrial Heritage Tour & Lunch (Sponsorship Available)
Join us for an exclusive, behind-the-scenes tour of Boston Sand & Gravel, one of the city’s most iconic industrial landmarks. Located on the banks of the Charles River, this facility has supplied concrete for some of Boston’s most significant construction projects for over a century. During the tour, you’ll get a rare look inside the workings of a modern concrete plant, learn about the history and engineering behind its operations, and witness firsthand the integration of industry and urban infrastructure.
Following the tour, guests are invited to enjoy a light lunch in a nearby venue, offering a chance to relax, reflect, and discuss the experience with fellow attendees.
Duration: Approx. 2.5 hours
Includes: Guided tour and lunch
Note: Closed-toe shoes and safety gear required.
Safety Requirements: This is an active industrial site. All attendees must provide and wear full Personal protective equipment (PPE): hard hat, safety vest, gloves, safety boots, and safety glasses. Full-length pants are required.
