Description
Why Take Crane Fundamentals?
Lift planning is an important component of safe lifting operations. Today, more and more companies are requiring lift plans to be generated and submitted prior to lifting operations. With that in mind it is critical to understand what to include in the lift plan, as well as review, prior to allowing lifting operations to commence.
Course Overview: This workshop is designed to increase crane safety awareness and help those responsible for lifting operations review lift plans.
Course Objectives:
Topics covered include:
- Rated capacity charts (load charts).
- Range diagrams and associated calculations.
- Elements of a lift plan.
- Common causes of failed lift plans.
- Roles and Responsibilities.
- Considerations that go into effective lift planning.
Who Should Attend: The course is designed for mobile crane operators, lift directors, and people who are actively involved in planning, reviewing, and overseeing crane operations and lift planning, such as superintendents, foremen, and safety personnel.
