AGC MA Members Continue Strong Safety Performance

The 2025 National AGC Safety Awards results demonstrate the continued commitment of AGC MA members to building safer jobsites. Participating Massachusetts companies reported more than 14.6 million work hours with an aggregate lost-workday incidence rate of just 0.21. Eighteen participating companies earned Certificates of Commendation for achieving either a zero incidence rate or an incidence rate at least 25 percent below their division average.

The Massachusetts results compare favorably with the National AGC Safety Awards program as a whole. Nationally, 1,502 reports representing nearly 673 million work hours produced an overall incidence rate of 0.23 in 2025. The long-term trend is equally encouraging: AGC’s overall incidence rate has declined from 1.56 in 2005 to 0.23 in 2025, reflecting significant progress across the construction industry and the sustained efforts of contractors to strengthen safety programs, training and field practices.

Behind those numbers are companies, safety professionals, supervisors and craftworkers who make safety a priority every day. Join AGC MA on September 18 at Granite Links as we recognize and celebrate this year’s National AGC Safety Award winners and the outstanding safety performance of our member companies.

We hope you’ll join us in celebrating the people and organizations helping raise the standard for construction safety across Massachusetts.
