Members from across the country gathered to learn, connect, and celebrate the people and companies pushing the construction industry forward—and AGC Massachusetts (AGC MA) was front and center throughout the event.

Honoring Excellence: Liseth Velez Named 2025 Diverse Business of the Year
One of the week’s most inspiring moments came when Liseth Velez, Founder & CEO of LJV Development and a proud AGC MA Board Member, was honored with the 2025 Diverse Business of the Year Award by AGC of America. This prestigious recognition is awarded to a diverse business that exemplifies leadership, resilience, and a relentless commitment to excellence in construction. A Strong Showing in Safety and Excellence

BOND Building Construction, Colantonio Inc., and Dimeo Construction Company each earned the AGC of America’s Construction Safety Excellence Award—a testament to their unwavering focus on safety and quality. These awards underscore AGC MA’s collective dedication to building excellence while prioritizing the well-being of every worker on site.

Celebrating the Next Generation: Melaine Chaves Recognized

Her honor reflects her leadership, academic achievement, and passion for construction management. Melaine’s success story is a proud moment not just for Wentworth, but for the entire AGC MA community.

Wentworth students took full advantage of the convention’s offerings, engaging with professionals and peers from across the country and participating in a range of educational sessions that provided key insights into today’s ever-evolving construction landscape.
